Title: Sadie not well
Post by: tagordon on April 02, 2008, 08:27:33 PM
Sadie had a sudden appearance of a growth on her left mandible (jaw bone).
Visit to the ER & two emergency surgeries, have her recovering well at this time.
It was a very agresive sarcoma (cancer) of the bone.
At least they believe it was limited to the bone.
They have removed her left mandible.
She has been on tube feeding since the surgeries.
She goes in tomorrow for an examination & possibly removal of the feeding tube.

Politics, religion, tire & oil choices are frequently tumultuous topics.
That in mind, I ask those that are agreeable to please include Sadie in your thoughts & prayers.

Thank you for viewing this, my therapedic post.

Troy

Sadie will definitely be in my prayers, Troy, and best of luck to you both.

Having lost my ol' bloodhound Lucas about a year ago to cancer and kidney failure, and now watching Maggie, my 13 y.o. Lab really beginning to age, I know exactly what you're going thru.

I've had dogs since before I was able to walk and have lost a few, but it never gets any easier.
Hopefully that's won't be your case.

Wishing you both the very best, most sincerely.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Yeah, Sadie sure does look like a sweetie, 'fer sure.  I'll keep her in my prayers. (Here's my three year old Shih-Tzu, MuShu.)

Troy,

I'm so sorry for Sadie.   Poor thing.  I  hope she gets through this okay.   I feel she's part of the forum because her picture is always there.  If I could, I would send an angel to watch over her.   Oh, there one is now!  [smiley=engel017.gif]

Take care.

Please give Sadie some pats from me.    My wife and I treat our golden retrievers like children - perhaps better than if they were children !
All the best thoughts and prayers for the sweet pup !

It's a drag when our faithful ol' mutts have problems like this.  We had to have several tumors "removed" from our Black Lab but they got everything and she lived on for many moons...

Pets make such a difference in our lives.
