Title: SpellCheck Expired ?
Post by: Bob_Roller on October 20, 2007, 07:29:58 PM
I just tried to use spell check, and got a message that the domain expired on 10/15/07. Is it gone for good, or do we need to re-apply?

Have no idea, but it was a freebie.  If it is no more I'll see if something else is available...

This spell-check wasn't browser based but a patch to the forum software to provide the button and a special link to a web site that hosted the spell checker.

It's built in.  If you're using firefox. click the Tools button at the top, click options at the bottom of that drop down list, click the advanced tab, and make sure that the box is selected that says "Check my spelling as I type."

Then open a grateful reply to this message    ;D and deliberately misspell a word, as I'm sure we don't spell things wrong by accident.

If you're not using Firefox, you have to download and install it first.

Well, the spell-check goober must have renewed his domain name as it appears to be working.  Also, I recently switched from Mozilla to SeaMonkey and it has the "on-the-fly" spell checker that Ed describes FireFox as having..
