Title: Jury Duty
Post by: Bob_Roller on November 16, 2006, 04:39:48 PM
Just recieved a summons for Federal Grand Jury Duty for the month of December. Anybody ever serve on a grand jury before? Just wondering what I'm in for.

Adventure!

I have only been on a selection one time, and that was a long time ago when I was young and had long hair.  I didn't get picked real quick.

I don't know what would happen now that I am old with long hair.

Having never served on a jury, I have no good input.

Might be interesting.  Might just be Dr. Phil without the commercials...

Never been on a Grand Jury, but served a couple of times on regular juries.  It was a great learning experience and very enlightening.  I'd do it again in a heartbeat.  I think Grand Jury duty is much different, though.  Just not sure how.  [smiley=undecided.gif]

Make sure you practice delivering a verdict:  extend your right hand out, thumb extending up from a closed fist.  Slowly and decisively rotate your hand until the thumb points down.  I find it much easier to do it in a counterclockwise direction.

Obviously I've never been on a jury either, but I'm ready.
