Quick Question,
I bought a Non Operating R100T a great distance away from my home.
I am debating flying / Uhauling the Motorcycle home.
Or....
I could take my 4 cylinder nofrills Ranger and push it up into the back of the bed.
IF the overall length is 87 inches (BM Bikes.UK), then it should fit diagonally with the tailgate up. Silencers and front fender removed during travel
I've only loaded my R65 into my truck once or twice in a pinch.
Does anyone have any experience fitting a R100 in a Ranger.

Any reason you couldn't roll the bike straight in and leave the tailgate down? You might add a red flag or similar to the gate to meet potential traffic codes in states "a great distance away from home".
Hope you got a very good price on the bike...

Thanks Montmil,
I've towed the R65 with the tailgate down, and a flag hanging off the Ramp.
Might do the same again.

If you have a tow hitch on the back of the truck, U-Haul has small trailers with tiedowns for hauling a motorcycle .
http://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/Motorcycle-Trailer-Rental/MT/
If you have a major U-Haul center near you they usually have them on hand .
I did a search for rates and it showed $15.00 per day rental .

Right, a designated motorcycle trailer seems like a good solution.
I reserved one for Friday.

How long of a trip is it to get the new bike ????

It'll fit for sure into an El Camino, and a standard bed length Nissan pickup.
Been there myself...
