Title: New R65 rider

Hi,

I'm new to this forum because I bought myself a 1979 R65 with 22000 km on it.
I live in (rainy) Belgium.
Anyone knows more about the cockpit/fairing on my bike. It seems quite rare because I can't find much about on the net.

Welcome, 

That fairing looks like the one shown in the BMW parts fiche so it's possibly an original part. The rest of the bike looks original too including the sticker on the side cover.

Thanks, everything supposed to be original. That's what the seller told me. :-) I'm a complete newbie so he could have practically told me anything.
It's been 12 years that a rode a motorcycle. Nevertheless, I'm very excited with my new ride.
