Howdy,
Recently signed up after finding the forum useful.
I imported my project R65 into Dubai in February from the UK where I built it from parts in a box, a frame and some wheels.
It started life as an R45 until I upgraded the Pots.
Look forward to interacting with you all.

Shorty Chrome Pipes
New Clutch

Saw the sand first and thught, Uh Oh. Saw the tires next and said, Oh Yeah!
Remarkable rebuild. Welcome to the herd. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Nice looking ride, good job on that. I'm normally more of a "traditional" type with the Bimmers but I really like what you did with that.

Love the /5 headlight/speedo!

Cracking job Jonathan, I'm not one for custom boxers but yours looks right. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks all for the welcomes so far.
Glad that on the whole you approve, I went for a fairly mild look, just wanted it to look a little more rugged.
I love it, but then I am pretty biased as I know every nut and bolt of it.
Makes a great noise too - will try and post that..
The Headlamp was a real find and really adds to everything from switching it on to the simplicity of it. Took a while to figure out the wiring as you can imagine! It's from an old MZ - a TS if I remember right. It was donated to me from another Forum member in the UK - owe him a lot.
I started out with a stock unit, then tried an aftermarket with some micro switches but nothing really did it justice.
Again totally reconditioned, mini restoration in it's own right but I think gives the Bike great character and a bit of a WWII feel.
Now if I could only fix the ignition issues and get it to start today - see Technical thread!
