Hi,
I recently stumbled across this site when I was in the process of looking for an overhaul kit for the front forks of my 1980 R65. The bike has not been ridden for many years and having recently "retired" I am now trying to get it back into shape so that it can be enjoyed again. The site seems to be an excellent and well organized one so far and I am looking forward to to learning from and contributing to it.

Welcome. Plenty of knowledgeable and helpful folks here and a lot of info to be had for our R65's. I'm new also. I'll go ahead and give you a heads up - they're going to want to see pics of your bike....... :)

Hello, Henry, and welcome to our unfettered herd. No question that you are the Numero Uno Member from Barbados so you'll soon become the Airhead expert on the island.
As noted, we'll be looking for some photos of your R65. Beach shots with bikinis will score bonus points. ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome. The bike isn't looking that great right now, no mufflers, tank, carbs etc. I will still try and muster a pic as it is now. [smiley=bmw_smiley.gif]

Welcome aboard! I think you are our first member from Barbados!
Post pics when you can, but don't worry if the bike isn't looking beautiful yet - we've all been there before - some of us numerous times!

Here is a picture without the tank and other items.
