Not finding the info searching.
So asking forhelp.

TIA

Thanks for your reply. But still doesn't get me to the details of how to wire my ignition for that mod.

Troy,
I think the person that posted this had a 4 position ignition switch, not the 3 position switch that the North American bikes came equipped with.

The four wires are#30, #15, #58, and #56.
30 is the + hot wire
15 is the ignition
58 is the parking and tail light
56 is the headlight
58 should have power in both the parking light and run position.
If so move the wire 15 to the terminal 58 along with the parking light wire #58. (or splice the two wires together)

Thanks.
That's what I have planned to do.
I'll give it a go & let you know.
I was hoping to hear of someone's personal experience at this mod.
Sometimes my own electrical mods do not produce as expected.

Did this mod many years ago on my current G/S . I used one of those 2 terminal into one connectors to hook up #58 and #15. I then wrapped it in tape as the clearances are pretty tight.
Advantage:, you can run without headlight or just not have headlight on when working on bike. In my case I changed the parking light to a 20W halogen and this becomes my daylight running light to satisfy legal requirements.
Disadvantage : you can remove key without turning off ignition. Possible in bright sunlight to not notice lights etc are still on.
And of course someone could ride off with it if they twigged.
