Title: The aggrevation continues...
Post by: Justin B. on October 09, 2012, 02:20:51 PM
I'm not sure what is going on with these redirects but for the time being I've found that if the forum is accessed through:

http://www.bmwr65.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl

it never redirects me.  I have posted for ideas about this problem on the Yabb support forum and we'll see what happens...

Thanks for the update Justin !!!

I figured with all the spammers at the front door, it was only a matter of time before we had issues  here .

Do you have a ticket in with BlueHost ?  Technically it's their problem and not really yours.. It's their front end that's getting hacked..

Suraklyn deals with BlueHost and he hasn't been very communicative lately so he's probably being worked to death at his "real" job.  As soon as he comes up for air I'm going to ask him to check with them on this.  In the meantime I'm trying to come up with a band-aid,,,

Sorry you're getting jerked around by these ne'er do well idiots, Justin!  I got yanked around several times when I clicked on my "bookmark" until I figured out how to get to the home page.  Aggravating, to say the least!  Hope you get it all sorted out!  (As I'm sure you will!)     ;)

JPSpen was probably correct and this was also suggested by one of the Yabb support forum mods.  It seems that things are back to "normal" today, at least every time I've re-loaded the page with the URLs that usually triggered a redirect yesterday.  I e-messaged Bob and he indicated that so far so good for him as well today.

Suraklyn is out of town but will check with the ISP to see what happened.

I'm still seeing a redirect from bmwr65.org for what it's worth, but going from r65.org works fine

Just in case, go into your cookie manager (or whatever) and delete any cookies from dsparking.com and then set it to not allow any cookies from that site.  I haven't had a redirect in a couple of days...

Hi guys!

I decided to just stay away for (more than) a few days.  I figured it would eventually get taken care of.

Thanks Justin and Suraklyn!

I still don't know exactly what was going on but feel it was ISP related...
