A friend gave me this old issue of Rider Magazine that did a review of the R65LS - pretty neat story!

I remember that review when it first came out.   That was only two months before I bought my R65.

Can this Rider article be placed somewhere on this site, where it doesn't get 'buried' with time ?????

It comes up every once in a while in a posting, it's good reading for an R65 enthusiast .

Like in the Important Topics section of some  section here .

I remember when that article came out too!   I was still riding my Yamaha XS400 twin at the time, and was about to sell it and buy an almost-new 1982 Yamaha 650 Maxim - I was a poor college student and couldn't afford a BMW R65LS back then, but I thought they looked very cool..

I wasn't born when that came out!!!

Like how they matched the helmet to the front fairing!!!
