Title: Tucson Vintage Motorcycle Club - Show on April 15
Post by: azcycle on April 11, 2012, 10:52:10 AM
Not sure how many Tucson/AZ locals we have, but the Tucson Vintage Motorcycle Club is having a show and swap meet on Sunday, April 15th from 10am - 3pm. Registration begins at 10am.  It will be taking place at possibly THE best micro-brewery in town, Barrio Brewery (http://barriobrewing.com/).

I'll be taking some photos (and be there on the r65, of course.) If you're in the area, come on down and enjoy!

Great show and a really decent turnout. My r65 was in very good company.  I didn't expect to win in the "German Class" (and I didn't) ... the 1st place went to the gorgeous blue 1969 you see in the photos below.

Here is a sampling of photos. The rest can be seen in the full album here. (https://picasaweb.google.com/115206442372200195961/TucsonVintageMotorycleShow?authuser=0&feat=directlink)

First shot has to be my r65, of course.

Fun Chopper. I spoke with the owner and he was a nice guy... fabricated everything himself. It's on sale locally if you want it.  ;D

Antique Iron. I believe this was a 1932 they said. It won for it's category:

The local Guzzi crowd showed up in impressive numbers

A gorgeous Isetta:

That's quite a parts-hauler for the swap meet. There was something about me that the Pug didn't like. Every time I walked by, it started barking at me like mad.

My first ride was a 1969 Honda 50 nearly like this. Mine was dark-Mustard yellow, though:

My r65 was in good company:

This won the German class 1st place. 1969 r69 (I believe):

If you're ever in Tucson, this club meets every other Wednesday evening at Barrio Brewery (http://barriobrewing.com/).
