Hello, everyone. I just bought a new (to me) '82 R65. I've had several airheads staring in the mid-70's with a '75 R90/6. I've owned 3 r90's, an R80ST, 2 R100GS's, and 2 R11R's.
I prefer the Airheads for their simplicity and ease of maintenance.
I've found these BMW forums to be of immense value & this one is no exception, although it IS exceptional!
This is my first R65 so I'll be hangin' here frequebtly!

Welcome to the herd, revperry. Perhaps you'll soon meet our forum's unofficial chaplain, Rev Light, and his beautiful flock.

Glad to be here! I really am a chaplain, in fact, I'm the Staff Chaplain at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I am a retired pastor from the Seattle area.
While I'm here, are there any other AZ riders with info on rides in the western AZ area?
It won't be long before we're looking at triple digit temps again. This afternoon it hit 82 in Lake Havasu!

Welcome - thats a great looking bike you have there. I love that seat - I'm restoring my '84 at the moment - my seat needs rebuilding and that one has me thinking - excellent mate ........... Adrian

Welcome aboard!
We have at least one long time member down near the Phoenix area who will probably be chiming in soon..
That's a nice, clean R65 - Brown sidestand and all - you've acquired a good one, I think!

Welcome Rev. I don't live anywhere near Lake Havasu but often visit. I'll be in the Yuma area next winter and will probably make a few trips up to Lake Havasu. I'll be looking out for you.
