Title: Cafe Project.
Post by: justind on June 19, 2011, 09:54:41 PM
It is still a way off being finished but here is an update.

It not only looks great but with the new front springs and rear Ikon shock it rides like a dream.

Also added a braided front brake line, K & N filters, and a cool carbon "Filter Filler" from Adrian at Cafebeemer.
The Filter Filler replaces the big space left when you remove the air filter box.

The seat is custom from Skinners here in Adelaide. It was all brown to start but I blackened the sides so the billet plate holder blended in.

Mini indicators and led brake light finish the rear and let the R65 plate stand out.

I have a Fly Screen being painted as we speak and with a little luck some pictures to follow later this week.

Clipons with three inch risers, billet triple clamp from SJBMW, gum
grips fron Deus.

Oh! And the thing I love the most......Keyless ignition.

The bike will eventually get a full paint detailing, frame, heads etc.
Enjoy.

Are you going to do anything with those long mufflers?    Seems somewhat contrary to the rest of the minimalist/bobbed style?

I am frequently impressed by the vision and ingenuity of various people with their airheads!

Oh hell yes!
Custom set of short pipes.
The exhaust on it sounds really good but I agree that it doesn't fit the cut down theme.
It will be hard to give it up while the exhaust is made.
I am loving riding it.
