Hello gang, it's possibly old news to some, but the steering head bearings are 320/28 and swing arm bearings (and /5/6/7 wheel bearings) are 30203 tapered rollers.

And I'm not sure, but I may still have the stalk extensions lying about, here.

Thanks for that, sorry about the late response, but I've repaired the one I have on the wife's bike with some bits of luggage trolley I found at the dump. Works a treat!. You may think it disgraceful but I have put higher bars on the R65LS and put shorter rear shocks on it so the wife's feet can touch the ground. I also used the lower portions of /6 handlebar mounts to lift the bars up off the upper yoke. This meant that I could slide the fork stanchions up through the yokes to get the machine lower to the ground without upsetting the geometry. That done and the dials cover won't go on, so I'm going to have to cut out a small section to enable that cover to sit correctly. I suppose one day someone will make repro dials covers of both types???
If anyone wants images of this carnage, let me know and I'll go and take some.

I wanted to raise my handlebars up a little, too. I never thought to use the lowers from a Type 247. I got a pair of uppers from a K bike (same as the twin-shock R65) and had them machined to nest in the lowers on the top triple clamp. They only raise the bars about 1/2", but that is all I wanted.

Just viewed your pdf file, crikey! you went to some trouble!
I ran into a calamity when trying to refit the plastic dial cover, it wanted to sit about an inch too high due to the handlebar clamps sitting so high. (Didn't think of that did I?).
I figured I could lower the handlebars by nearly half an inch, so being modest, I lopped about 10mm off the bottom of the tatty type 247 lower mounts (used as spacers) with my trusty hacksaw. Still sat high, so I thought about recessing the cap screws into the upper clamps, but then I thought and thought. I had some Honda Hawk bits, and amongst them were handlebar clamps which were exactly the correct hole spacing. I used disc mounting bolts (70mm u.h.) but what was really needed was 60mm u.h., so I ran an extra ten or so threads onto the cap screws as the threads in the upper yoke are bottomless. The cap screws still sat proud but sadly the Honda clamps don't have enough meat in them to allow recessing. I got around the proud cap screws by putting them in the lathe and knocking a bit off the top, and voila! I was able to carefully force the plastic cover back on.
