G'day all, nice place you got here :).
A forum just for r65's, I feel all funny all of a sudden :D.
Well I'm from Tasmania Australia and I ride a R65ls.
I am also on ADV rider, but now I have found the true promised land.
I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome from the other side of Oz, here in Darwin
-
Hello Darwin, I see Julia wants to stop the refugee regata up your way ;D.

G'day Sgt, welcome to the forum from one who is just a tad closer to you than John. Glad I got on before Monte 'cause now I can say...post pictures...lots of 'em...we just love 'em! I think our American cousins maybe just a bit tied up with the 4th July celebrations. They will probably be tuning in a little later with bloodshot eyes and furry tounges.
Fortunately all of them will have had the good common sense to either party at home, catch a cab or have the significant other pour them into the car and shuttle them home. :o
Cheers from Adelaide

Welcome Sgt. Joe from Canada! We all hope that you will have pics and advice and even some questions about your LS!!! Good choice. There are a few of us LS owners here. Some are quite knowledgeable :-? :P ;)
-
Well yes, aussie, you beat me to the punch. As we are all easily amused, photos of our R65 family and their rides are way cool. Hint, hint...
I beat the locals to the iced beer tub, Shiner Bock it was, and celebrated on the 3rd. Wife did have to drive us home cuz I definitely had my beer goggles on. I think I had fun. [smiley=beerchug.gif]
So welcome Sgt Joe. Riding these vintage R65s, we're ALL ADV riders!

Welcome to the farm Sgt. Joe. Just back in from deep East Texas myself. Spent the weekend in the countryside with Mrs. Phorqs fambly. HUGE bonfire last night with several thousands of dollars of beer and fireworks. The bonfire was about six feet tall and my nephew doused it with petrol. I fired up a roman candle and ignited the whole thing. Wow, that was amazing! Step son had the doors open to his 500 gigawatt Dodge Ram Charger uti car/boom box with Flux Capacitor and Enturbulator, and we boogied to some great vintage Texas country music. A large time was had by all.
Send pictures of your bike!

Aussie, you did have to get them started. ::) ;)
Welcome, Sgt. Joe. You will find the natives here are friendly. Maybe a bit crazy at times, but not out of control. ;D It's really a great group here. And they love to answer questions.
Yes, pics! Love to see our wonderful R65's in the local settings where they live.

I like the setup Sarge. Can you give us a close up of the cockpit. Looks like you have a GPS and some other device over the speedo/tach. Time/temp display? Man, I love pancakes! Are those fancy or plain?
-

I just stayed home and worked on my house. Your idea sounds more fun.
...and welcome, Sarge!

Welcome! I commented on your ADV thread, too. Great looking bike... love the white.

Welcome mate :). Great looking set up to tackle all those twisty mountain roads around Tassie.
-
Yes it's got the Gps will homemade mount, and a clock and temp guage(that fell off the other day so now I have put a volvo penta boat clock on) .
I was thinking of painting her back to silver, but the white does pop don't it :).
