Title: Art Clokey passes age 88.
Post by: Semper Gumby on January 11, 2010, 02:34:40 PM
The creator of my namesake passed in his sleep last Friday.  In addition to creating the "Gumby" character he also created the show David and Goliath.

Semper Gumby. :'(

Greetings from cool cold West Palm Beach Florida!

I saw an article on his passing last Friday, or Saturday .

It stated in the article, that he got a real kick out of Eddie Murphy's 'profane' Gumby routine on Saturday Night Live back in the '80's .

Clear, sunny, 70 F. (21 C.), 12 % humidity, 10 F. dewpoint temperature at 1400, here in the suburb of hell I call home !!!

Think Magic Roundabout (??) animated shorts from the 60's.  Cool kid stuff.  Gentile and kind.

Of course the other thing I watched back then was Dr. Who (from behind the sofa).  Yikes!

Magic Roundabout ... aimed at kids but the adults loved it too. I was fan of Dylan.
