Title: Happy New Year
Post by: Melena on December 31, 2009, 11:00:48 PM
Happy New Year everyone!

May the coming year be a good one for everyone.

Here it is, almost 9:00 here on the West Coast of the US.  Our Australian and New Zealand friends have already begun the journey into the New Year.  Europe and Asia are already into the New Year.  New York is just about to make the jump.

I'm listening to the big San Francisco National Public Radio station KQED.  They are now playing some nice jazz to bring in the New Year in New York.  I didn't catch the bands name.  But here we go!  It's now NEW YEAR!

Well, it's Friday morning here in the low deserts of south central Arizona, 45 F. (7C.) at 0515, got my first ride of the year in, the ride to work .

Traffic was light this morning, are the rest of you 'slackers' taking the day off ?

Oh yeah, Happy New Year !!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

I spent the morning watching the Tournament of Roses Parade - my niece was marching.  They actually had a close-up of her!!  YeeHaw!

Then off to work to close out the books for 2009.  Made time afterwards to cook up some black-eyed peas, ham hock and greens to start the year off right.

Safe riding to all this year!

It's nice to see we're not the only ones that pig-out on black-eyed peas and ham on Jan 1st!

Everybody keep safe this year, no more disasters!

Happy New Year to you all from England. My daughter and her American husband have got on the plane back to Minneapolis. We had a slightly drunken New Year's Eve in the local pub, big crowd, lots of noise, good fun and no need to drive, it's only 5 minutes walk!

Yes a Happy New Year to all, we had a great night with a top band at our hide away 20 yards from the caravan to the "Barn" minus plenty and a load of snow.As good as it gets when among friends we had a communal cook up for new years day dinner what a feast that was.....diet starts now.
