Hi All
I am wondering if there is anything you could recommend about extending my crankcase breather hose. I have taken the airbox off and installed velocity stacks some time ago. Now I find that I get a little spray out of the breather hose, not much but I intend to put a nice stainless plate right where it is spraying.
I have seen the hose extended out beneath the seat and down onto the ground. I think they used some sort of clear braided plastic hose.
Any tips?

I remember from way back in the day when I moved up from a Vespa GranSport to a 250cc Ducati Diana. The Duck's crankcase vent had a clear vinyl hose that was routed along the top rear frame loop then down the rear fender to exit below the bottom edge of the fender. Italians. Whatever.
You could probably keep your vent line a bit lower. Though it might not be practical to dump it in front of the rear tire. ;D

rob had a pix of a set up he did, ran a hose over the air filter and out the back pointed down if i remember right.

Early Triumph 650 & 750's had a similar vent scheme running under the left side of the fender and exiting behind the rear wheel. They used some sort of silver colored vinyl tubing that remained somewhat pliable with age. That tubing should still be available from British Cycle Supply. My local home improvement depots both have clear vinyl tubing and some of the diameters that you may want have the braiding. The down side to these tubes is that they yellow and become brittle rather quickly. If it were my cafe bike I might go with a nice rubber hose and tart it up a bit with one of the hose covering kits available on line or http://www.jegs.com/p/Spectre/744254/10002/-1/11377

In my neck of the woods we called those tubes on the back of the Triumph fenders, "auxiliary chain oilers", 'cept they were
generally not going in the right direction (or always on the proper side) to be able to hit the chain. :D

Mine used to be black heater hose that exited through the air intake horn on the starter cover (round air filter style) and went back along the left side of the frame and was zip-tied to the left side of the swing-arm.
When I changed to the drilled hole in the airbox, I wanted the braided plastic, but could not find any the right combination of inside/outside diameters...
So I went with the non-reinforced (substandard) and it will get replaced sometime soon.

When I removed my airbox, I put a aluminium plate over the back of the engine and top of the gearbox to tidy things up. On the plate I mounted the same type of fitting shown in Robs picture and connected the breatheer to it.
I actually do not get much in the was of oil comming out of it and it looks tidy. You might be able to see it in the picture

They even have some with a shield around the bottom, if you don't mind chrome instead of black rubber.
