Yeah I know it's been awhile but I had work commitments for the longest time and then to top it off I had viral menengitis(?).
Now that is something that I do NOT recommend. Had to have a spinal tap by some intern that took three tries to get the needle in properly....hurt like you wouldn't believe.
Anyhoooo..great to be back. :)

Good to have you back, dude! And that spinal tap thing sounds painful! Ouch!! :o
Now, get out there on that bike and get some miles on it! You have to make up for lost time in the saddle!! ;)
-
I want to see that movie.
(Spinal Tap)
Ouch.
-
Geeze I just get so tired lately and the tap was bloody awful if you excuse the vernacular! However, the days are beginning to become warmer and I polished the bike today - so come on sunshine. :)

Welcome back Aussie. I am so sorry you had to endure that pain! Good thing the summer is coming for you as we go through our Fall then winter coming in about 2 months...yuck!

...Fall then winter coming in about 2 months...yuck!
I know what you mean, Sue. Winter here in Texas means the Snowbird invasion and temps falling into the 50F degree region. I'll have to wear a long-sleeved shirt with my riding jacket. Brrr ;)

Welcome back, Aussie.
Good to hear from you. Sorry about the medical problem. We're about to try socialized medicine over here. Those of us on medicare have been assured that it won't hurt us a bit. Is that what your intern assured you? "It won't hurt a bit".???
Anyways....Good to hear from you.

Hope all's fine now Aussie, and that things are getting better, and you are able to start enjoying rinding the Beemer again.
I've been absent from here as well, work, stress, life, computer failures, just always seems to be something keeping me away. Nothing as drastic as you though.
I've been riding the BMW to work when I can and still loving it in Darwin's weather. Weather is starting to get warmer, and that will eventually bring rain with it. Here we get our wet during the hottest part of the year.

Glad to hear you're back, Aussie. We've missed your always humorous musings. I hope your recovery is fast and full and you get lots and lots of time for the best therapy: rolling down the road on your airhead! [smiley=bmw_smiley.gif]

Monte that's not the way to get sympathy from people who actually know what snow is!!

I had a spinal yesterday and I vaguely remember somebody having to make several tries, and somebody coaching her, but I was so doped up I really didn't give a rat's a$$!

Aussie,
Glad to hear you are on the mend and you're back. Sorry to hear that you had to go through all that.
You too Justin. Just thinking about it makes me feel faint. I had to have a cortisone shot in my foot last week and just that made me all queasy and light headed. [smiley=thud.gif]
Oh, did I just faint there? I'm okay now. :D I think.
