Welcome aboard Olddog/Pete ,

Our membership from OZ seems to be growing quite rapidly !

Post pictures of your bike, and of your riding area, a  'roo picture posing next to your bike might be a good one.

If they reside in your locality .

Canada welcomes you Pete! With this forum well bookmarked as a favourite, you will be in good hands with any questions that creep up, despite the bike being in good order. It is old...somewhat like us?

Ashes?  Sounds like something from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Am I close?

No sorry for your homework check page 4 of totally off topic rants ect ......do Americans play cricket  the ashes refer to a set of stumps which were vandalized by our Aussie brothers in an act of celebration. We are still waiting for an apology

I'm not just close, I'm right.  In one of the Hitchiker's guide, etc. books, there's mention of the ashes at a cricket match.  That gets crashed by killer robots, and they steal the ashes.
