Title: From Chicago BMW
Post by: Justin B. on February 11, 2009, 05:36:11 PM
Dear Chicago BMW customers

New rules from BMW corp. we can not show discounted prices on our website. But our staff will still give the discount on your internet orders.  Please tell your friends and clubs and other riders sites.

Thanks Mark & Javier & the whole crew at Chicago BMW

P.S. you can still call 773-247-6820 if you have any Questions

Thanks for the heads up, Justin.  That would have caught me by surprise.

Too bad, really.

And you have to give payment information before the discounted price will show up, apparently... ;)

I have not asked them but I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess it's still 20%.

And I should add, that another recent change, is they charge your credit card when you place the order, rather than when the parts ship.

For weirdo parts (like I am known for ordering...), that could mean 6-12 months of waiting for parts that you have already paid for!

My dealings with Javier and Chicago BMW have always been via telephone. I ask if the part/s are "in stock". If one isn't, I delete it from my order and shop for it elsewhere. I refuse to do the Pay & Pray routine with any vendor.

Sounds like some sorta Obamunist BMW Bail Out Program to me.  ::)
