My Lowe's $1.89 "nail apron" tool roll has gotten over loaded and is difficult to stow in either the tail cone or the under seat tray. Need more outta sight tool space.
I've admired the nylon, zippered, tubular storage bag sold through Bob's BMW but I thought I could do something local and more economical. Hello. Harbor Freight...
Scored a three pack of nylon stuff sacks -that's camping talk, guys- for less than two bucks. I added my own barrel clamp and I'm good to go. Size is 11"x4". Perfect for my spark plug socket, extension, and... whatever.
The thin strip of plywood goes into the bag and aids in slipping the whole shebang into the Beemer's main frame backbone. No sense trying to push a rope uphill.
Time will tell how the lightweight nylon holds up... fingers crossed. I may add a rubber stopper to close the frame tube opening.
I'm so bored, waiting for my rebuilt bean can... [smiley=zzz.gif] Monte

Your forward tool tray should block the opening to the frame tube!
