Got to practise my welsh:

.....Where's he to?
......Isn't it?
......tidy?

 ;)

If 'the missus' sees this there will be trouble!  She's from Anglesey...she speekio the lingio...

I will be in Bala at the end of the month, sailing.  Looking forward to the Welsh Cakes.

That is what I mean Cardigan Bay is almost the entire west coast of Wales isn't it?  So I assume you mean the Cardigan Bay at the southern End of cardigan Bay..... :-/

Lovely area to ride through.

Lets see a picture of you bike then....

Nice!  That will be a fun back roads bike.  I saw a pretty red LS at the OVM show a couple of years ago, when the featured marque was BMW.  I put my poor dirty old thing in the show (hey, I had to park it some where!) but in the parking lot was this really clean LS.  I never did meet the owner to tell him/her about our group.

I didn't know you could mount the mufflers in that position.  It looks kind of sporty that way.  Are they in the way when you pull the rear tire?

Have fun!

I don't know if they would be in the way when taking the rear wheel off,as i haven't done that yet,but the pipes were on it that way when i bought it,not sure if they can be mounted at another angle?cheers,J.

Looks like the local garage or previous owner has put the mufflers on the wrong way up.  I have seen this a couple of time before on other Boxers.

Are they stainless?

Anyway, tidy bike isn't she, boyo?

Cheers

Steve

Simple,

You have the left silencer on the right side and the right silencer on the left!

He presto, two silencers that are upside down.

However, if I recall, the last time I saw this arrangement on a boxer the owner had also cut about the silencer mount points.

If you had panniers/cases it would prevent you from using them.

Also, if you like it the way it is, then leave it the way it is.  Its your bike!

Mine does not even have standard silencers on it....or even anything that can be honestly described as a silencer m'lud!

Cheers

Steve

Yes, they are up-side down.  Just unbolt them and rotate them 180 degrees.  You may need to switch sides on them as well but I can't remember.

I've had the bike since 2001, and bits have been comming off ever since, lost a front disc and caliper last month.

Its what you get for not buying an LS in the first place!

Just about to put an old set of black painted headers on it since the ones shown have never fitted correctly, always blowing on the left cylinder.  I think the pipe was cut too short, or the right hand header is too long.

It is noisy though.  But the noise a low revving twin is alot more agreeable than that of a high revving 4, so I am led to believe.

Plenty of warning to the missus to put the kettle on....and kick the boyfriend out!
