Title: Season's Greetings!
Post by: SCJJR65 on December 23, 2007, 02:43:21 PM
I would just like to send out a hearty "Merry Christmas" to all of my fellow R65 owners all over the world (at the risk of being politically incorrect), and hope that you all have a wonderful and safe holiday season!  (And here's hoping that everyone gets that little something for their bike that they asked Santa for!)   ;)

Froeliche Weinachten!

("Merry Christmas", auf Deutsch)

Me too!! I want to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a safe, happy New Year
[smiley=clap.gif]Getting things at Christmas for our bikes takes quite a bit a precise hinting!! Our bikes aren't exactly off the shelf material anymore :-?

Sure hope Melena and Arla check in soon as I am pretty sure I might make it all the way to California this summer. Every year I get closer and the MOA is in Gillette, WY. which is a fine start west! Joan is in WA. state I think so I may be travelling through there some time next summer too. I wonder who else is on route west from Ontario Canada?  I wonder if nhmaf's cousin Dean is in the mood for a trip west????

Also, hope to see Aïda in Raleigh again as I love to go to that state and travel the roads of the western side especially! Sooner or later I will meet John J. and NC Steve in person!

Have a great day fellow forum friends!
Sue

Had my 82 out Saturday for a 100 mile romp. Something we can do down in LA (Lower AL.) :-))

Merry Chirstmas! Hope to not offend anybody but that's the way I do it. :-)

Sue, I'm in Wet'ern Oregon!

George Bush gave me the day off with pay, so I changed my car's front brake calipers, bled everything, changed out the rear struts, then noticed that it was time to change to oil and filter so I did that.

I still have some DOT 4 in the bottle so I think I'll change the R65's brake fluid tomorrow before my family arrives.

I feel tired now.

Barley Therapy is Wednesday after Christmas, so I hope it doesn't snow, which it might.

Nothing under the tree for the bikes this year, but I did get a brand new Flugelhorn!!  (https://bmwr65.org/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi129.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fp210%2Fcabcgec%2F004.gif&hash=10eb03659a4b41afdf91c0ee381b7aa692949ae4)

I'm jammin' now!    [smiley=beatnik.gif]  Playing those Christmas carols and wishing everyone safe travels for the upcoming year.  Already got the 1st of April on the list for Willville...nothing new there...teehee...   It'd be great to see Sue show up there one weekend along with NCSteve and John!

It's Christmas now, and I'm waiting for family to show up.  It just started snowing an hour or two ago (I was lifting weights in my shop) and there's about an inch now.

I think I won't be riding my R65 to work tomorrow, and may even spend this evening putting my studded tires on my car.  Sigh.  Well I have lots of used motor oil and scrap stuff to haul off for recycling.

I live in the woods.  Snow may be a pain sometimes, but it sure is beautiful.

Hi Sue,

My cousin Dean is often/always up for a ride somewhere, though he has a number of project going on, he is already planning to go to Gillette and the BMWMOA rally next year, and is planning a trip down to Florida and back in February - he just has to time it so that the roads are clear of ice and snow up here for his leaving& returning !   He usually
makes at least a couple "big" (2000 mile or more round trip) trips a year on his flying brick..

Boy, that grave stone picture is priceless !
