Hello-

I'm about 90% sure I'm picking an 82 R65 this Thursday. 88k on it, with a logbook for the last 77k. Blue. Should be fun. I have a friend with a 76 R90/6 that he's been riding for the last ten years problem free. Convinced me to pick up a BMW.

It's a replacement for a totalled 1978 CB400. Still healing a bit from that. The guy who tried to kill me had good insurance, so they're picking up the tab.

Welcome to our forum. Glad to hear you're getting an R65, just not a great way to get one, from a motorcycle accident settlement! You won't be disappointed with the bike, they are a bit quirky, but reliable as a rock.

And light years (oh wait, that is distance...) ahead of your buddies R90 - handling-wise.

I hope your injuries were not too severe, so you can heal quickly and enjoy this fine machine!
