Title: New guy checking in

Hello,

Today is my first day on this site.  I recently purchased a 1979 R65 with 22K miles.  The bike is in excellent condition and totally stock to my knowledge; I keep the bike in north GA.  I live in Tampa, FL and also own an '05 ST1300.  I'm looking forward to learning more about my R65 from this august group of aficionados.

Yeah, Bob, good to have you on board!  You'll find loads of practical advice and knowledge on the R65 here!  (And if you wish to find out what all the idiosynchoncies and nuances are with the '79 R65, just ask our moderator, Rob Valdez, who bought his 1979 R65 NEW in 1979, and still has it!)   :o

Now that's a long term relationship!

Welcome Bob!

North GA is definitely a better place to ride the R65 than FL!  I love riding those North Georgia mountains when I get the chance!

We are glad to  have a new member here.  It's a great group of people and we all learn from each other.

Beautiful bike you have there.  I thought the color was white.  But Silver-beige?  Hmmmm.  I like it.   ;D
