Title: Justin working on site Connectivity!
Post by: wilcom on October 07, 2020, 07:01:53 AM
Since Justin's access to the site is sporadic, like most of us, he has asked me to post this message for him.  Justin is back from remote OK site and working to get us up and running again. He will manipulate the existing software or come in with a new slate.

"Joe,

I was able to get into the YaBB forum a couple of times now I can't!  If
you are able to get back in please let everyone know that I have
installed another forum package and I'm in the middle of converting data
right now so maybe I can get folks switched over to in shortly.  I'm
sure we are going to loose some things, other stuff scrambled up, etc,
but at least we'll be alive!  I called Bob and left a message on his
machine but I haven't heard back from him yet.

Probably any posts made after this evening will be lost as I was not
able to get logged in to put the YaBB forum into maintenance mode.

Justin B."

I have put the forum in maintenance mode to try to convert/import the data over into a new forum software package.

If all goes well maybe we can transition over to this other forum in a day or so once a few folks log in and poke around a bit to see if it looks OK.

All conversions have glitches, things get lost, etc., but SMF is one of the few packages that will even admit to being able to convert a YaBB forum.

I think everything is done except for attachments and e-mail.  It may take a while but hopefully somebody can come up with a way to import in just the attachments...
