I need to find an inexpensive source for replacement mufflers for the R65. Doesn't necessarily need to be oem, but would like a plug and play fitment. Used or take offs also ok. Your help is appreciated.

MAC has mufflers for the R65, their website has them for $240 for a set of two, they come up on eBay every so often, so keep an eye there.

I would be wary of used mufflers, other than NOS ( new old stock), as these mufflers quite often crack out around the threaded holes where the angle that mounts it to the frame bolts into, and rust at the reverse cone end welds.

Give Re-Psycle BMW a call at (614) 837-1160. They have 2.5 acres of BMWs available for recycling. Explain your needs. They may have some muffs in good shape for half of new cost.
I have sourced some parts for my R65 from this Ohio-based outfit. http://re-psycle.com They are very courteous and helpful.
