Any body else in this world watching this 6hr-mini-docu-drama?
I'm loving the motorcycles, even if they are replicas made in South Africa and the races are in Romania. I'm sure there are plenty of historical liberties taken for entertainment purposes but I do find it interesting in its context.
Whole lota Sh*t went down at the birth of the gasoline age!!
To think there were over 50 motorcycle manufacturers in the USA at the beginning of the last century and that only one survives today is pretty staggering. No wonder most Harley riders I've met have an attitude toward everything else, but they are no where near the concept bike that Bill and the Brothers envisioned: Simple, unadorned, Rugged, tough, go anywhere, fast, easily fixed by the rider they are not any longer.
Ok just my point of view , but maybe I'm entitled having owned and ridden a couple.
Just got turned on by the show I guess. Check it out, its worth a few hours of your time.

Haven't picked this up yet, but have it on 'catch up' waiting to go.
I am partial to some American iron and love the sportster 1200cc with normal mid pegs, wouldn't mind one of those in the garage at some point...

Watched epi 1 last night and found it entertaining.
Don't know if it's historically accurate, but I am sure fans of the Indian brand won't be too happy with the portrayal of their founder...
Interesting that the program said that at that time there were 50 motorcycle manufacturers in the USA.

Just too bad that Doctor Evil wasn't available to play the role of Indian's head honcho. ;D
Yes, it was an entertaing production but historically very inaccurate. Typical TV fare yet I watched all three nights.

Sad how tv productions do this sort of thing, as i would have thought it was close to the truth.

I was hoping for more of a documentary. They added Drama and Women and that's the death knell for me. The rest of the family stayed with it for all the nights and they enjoyed it. So it gets three stars here with me as the only dissenter.
