I was on my way home Thursday afternoon around 1445 .
Got off at my usual exit from the expressway .
This exit turns into three lanes, left turn only, center lane left or right turn, right lane right turn only.
I was in the left turn only lane, traffic light turned green and I made the left turn, there is another traffic light on the overpass I'm about the eighth vehicle at the light, I'm in the right hand part of my lane .
A long tractor trailer comes on the right side of me in the right lane .
What I didn't notice is that the driver made too shallow of a turn and the trailer came across all of my lane, snagged my right shoulder and almost pulled me off of the bike in front of the rear wheels of the trailer . :o
I had the transmission in gear and made a left turn to avoid being run over .
First time in almost 38 years of riding that I had a situation like this happen to me .
You never stop learning on a motorcycle do you ?????

Nightmare Bob, glad you are okay.
None of us should ever underestimate the dangers...

It gives you a new outlook and awareness on traffic again.
Glad all turned out well.

Dayum! I've seen a big-rig drag the right-rear trailer tires up onto the hood of a car that didn't believe the "This truck makes wide right turns" warning on the back door of the trailer. Glad you are OK.

Yikes! Glad you are OK! Lately, I am most afraid of incidents occurring at traffic lights - and try to keep tabs on things in my rearview mirrors of what's coming up behind after I've stopped, try to leave an escape lane/route forward, leave bike in first gear with clutch iin, etc.

Very Happy you're OK, Bob.
A real life reminder to all of us: Situational Awareness can and will save your life.
