Title: She went and did it.....
Post by: Tony Smith on April 23, 2016, 04:47:03 AM
After a few weeks of research, negotiation, ordering and then finally waiting, we picked up my partner Sylvia's new G650GS yesterday afternoon.

I got to ride it home as it is a bit tall for her and until the lowering dogbones are fitted she doesn't want to be in traffic with it,

It's a fun little thing.

We thought about getting Fiona F800r when she was looking for a new bike last year. however being only 5ft nothing, she found it to tall even after she sat on a lowered one. In the end she decided to spend 'our' money on a Harley Street 750 mostly because she can get both her feet flat on the floor with it bog standard.

Be sure to check out f650.com lots of good info. The G is newer but they have a section for them and some of the older info is bound to apply.

lou if it is any consolation, it rained yesterday when I went for a ride. Rain started tumbling down just as I reached the small town of Kuranda. Stopped for a coffee and one of Annabels "famous" (infamous would be more apt) and by the time I'd finished the rain had passed through.

Got to love the tropical weather changes driven by a 25kt prevailing wind.

Will do. Thanks for that. It is hard to find "knowledgeable' information.
