Title: Fuel Prices
Post by: Bob_Roller on February 21, 2016, 11:23:27 AM
I just refueled my car this morning, paid $1.27 for 1 US gallon, 3.8 liter, so $.33US per liter ( regular fuel ) .

This works out to per liter at current exchange rates .
.48 GBP
.37 Euro
$.46 CDN
$.46 AU
$.50 NZ

What are you paying locally for fuel, regular, or the lowest octane rated fuel, as there is a difference in rating for the same fuel in different countries .

I filled up for $2.11/gal U.S. here in southern California yesterday. Last week it was $2.50-2.60. At that time I fueled up in Nevada and it was $1.74, almost a $1.00 difference!

So why is a Quart of Motor Oil still $5-7/Qt, ($30/Gal.)?  Don't they make it out of the same stuff? Maybe a different type of Dinosaur .............

OK, it was likely a short sales gimmick, but filled up the Cadillac SRX for &0.89 / gallon. Occasionally see prices at <$1.00 in South Texas which is close to many gasoline producers.

I drove back to Las Vegas this afternoon and gas here is $1.85/Gal, a dime more than last week.

The good news was when I jumped in the car it said I had 237 miles to empty(MTE) and it is about 225 to Vegas from where I live. Didn't have to buy anymore California dino before I left. YeeHaa!

I live right on the FL/GA border. In FL it is $1.63 a gallon. In GA it is $1.67 a gallon. Not worth the ride to save a few cents a gallon.

We are in the $1.60 range at the moment - depending on location it could be $1.59 or $1.69.  Minus all the taxes it would be around $1 a litre.

Just came back from Mexico (NSW) and the price for unleaded 91 varied between A$1.04 to $1.18.  95 was from about $1.20 to $1.30 and the 98 which I prefer was from about $1.25 to $1.35.

These prices are for one litre of fuel.  91 available every where along with diesel and usually 95 and sometimes 98 not available.  My travels included rural NSW all the way from Jindabyne to back home to Brisbane.  The last day I rode Bathurst to Brisbane which is 1,000km and managed it in just over 12 hours with a couple of diversions on the way.

Before the glut in oil at the moment we were paying up to A$1.40 for 91 although it has been slowly sliding down to the present prices.
