Welcome Campoa and I thought I would jump in first and say "we love photos".
Lots of info here and a few friends west of you in RSA.
If my memory serves me correctly Maputo used to be called Lorenco Marques in days gone by?
Cheers, Dave.

Now that's an interesting R65 you have, Campoa.
Any idea on the front fork swap? Appears to be from a late model, Japanese dirt bike.
Post up any questions you may have. Enjoy your time here.

Hi Montmil!
Its and inverted fork from an aprilia pegasos.
It improved deeply the ride on bad roads.
:)

Sweet looking moto there. I am sure it works well.
I remember on my first trip to Kruger Park in about '86 we took a left turn out of the park from Crocodile Bridge and I saw the sign to LM. Thought it odd it had not been changed.
Hopefully our RSA members will drop by soon. They might be found on the Members Map on the toolbar.
Dave.

It runs lake a charm!!
appart from these dirty fuel issues.
I want to solve them soon.
You have to came back. 86 was a long time ago!! :)

I have been back but my best mate now resides in the UK. My last trip was in 2003 when I ventured into Botswana.
In '86 we rode from Joburg to the Cape and back through the Garden Route and Plettenburg Bay when we hit trouble and hired a bakkie to get the bikes back.
Lovely part of the world. Maybe return one day.
