Just back from an enjoyable jaunt on the North Yorkshire Moors where I came across some nice old iron... Helmsley is a bit of a bike mecca most weekends with folk drawn to Hunters .....probably the best sarnie shop in well anywhere..
The Velocette was parked outside the Pub at Beck Hole just off the A169 about 5 miles from Whiitby the others are in the square at Helmsley

This much Brit Iron in one spot, other than a bike show, would be rare 'round these parts. As one of the American bike magazines says:
Ride Em. Don't Hide Em.

Looking at that brought tears to my eyes. Then I remembered the tears of frustration, anger and exhaustion that I used to shed when I owned one of the bastards. A 500 Velo is like the girl in the poem: "when she was good,m she was very, very good, but when she was bad she was horrid". They were bad lots of the time.

That's, erm, quite the fairing sitting on the front of that BSA.

I'd have problem spent all morning looking at the bikes!
