Had a nice blast over Holme Moss into Derbyshire... don't be fooled by the sunshine it was bloody cold up there. Route took me to Holmfirth where I got ripped off for a coke then over Holme Moss and back via Crow Edge, Dunford Bridge and Denby Dale a nice 50 mile round trip with some superb views, from the car park near the Holme Moss transmitter (bet Chris can see that from his back door) you could clearly see Drax power station which must be 50 miles away.I was joined by an Enfield and 2 lovely BSA A10,s in the car park.

Just lovely, Lou. Not much traffic in your West Texas last pic.
Practicing your Olympic dead-weight lifts with Gertie? ::)

Great advertising for Yorkshire Lou, how did Gerty get on up the hill on the way to the top? And what going down the other side, do the brakes hold up well if you are pressing on?
Looking forward to doing that run myself soon!
We were at the Lakes yesterday, very sunny, but as you say cold.

The roads were pretty quiet once I got past Holmfirth Monte, but trust me you don't want to go up there in winter, there are "Snow poles" 8ft high lining the west side of that hill.... for a good reason.
Chris the run up the hill which I am sure you know has some great bends and inclines which Gertie thrived on and no problem with brakes on the other side.
When you hit the road where the bridge is if you hang a right and go over the dam it takes you to Chapel en le Frith I will scoot out there soon as that section of road was just made for bikes and there is a nice "cheap" café.
Lou true Yorkshireman deep pockets and will tell you like it is..
