Title: BMW Insurance & the national rally's

Just phoned BMW Insurance to find out if I'm covered for the Welsh National Rally next month, and my expensive in comparison to Bennett's and Carol Nash quotes fully comp policy does not cover me. That's fair enough but what left me flabberghasted was when I asked if I could arrange cover through them and was told a flat no... Pretty piss poor service in my opinion.

So you need special insurance to take part in an event on public roads and it's not even a race ?  How does it differ from a typical motorcycle club outing.

I wouldn't even have thought to ask if I was insured.
