... is today, 28 MAY 2014.
Cap'n Crunch and I are rendezvousing at Greenwood Grocery and Grill for one of their finest.
If I remember, I'll grab a few snaps. No photo, the burger doesn't exist.

Plus it's a nice ride to get to the Greenwood Store.

Half pound of ground beef grilled to perfection. Drag it through the garden, add a slice of American cheese and pile on some thick-sliced bacon. Side of hand cut fries and a frosty root beer.

Celebrating the National Hamburger Day.

Bengt Phorqs actually rode to Greenwood on an Airhead!

Even as a 'died in the wool' Englishman, I can appreciate a good burger.
Looks tasty.
Buts lets have a nice slice of mature Cheddar on it....
Cheers

Great burgers, great friends, and a great day for a ride! Mongo, I'm stealing that photo you took of me.

I note Monte has a 5* review on their Yelp page ...... hoping for a discount methinks....
Does look good and at 3hrs from FW just far enough.

Lou, it's a great destination ride. And really, only about 60 or so miles from Fort Worth. About 75 miles for me, probably 50 or so for Monte. Just an old time country store where you can stop in and buy a can of Frito's bean dip, maybe some Hellman's mayo, a box of Pampers or female products, of a six pack of Dr. Pepper. No beer/wine/spirits though. And while you're there why not get a burger, fries, root beer, and a fried pie?

I saw one of the reviews raving about a "Fried" pie ????? whats one of them???? must be a USA thing like Moon Pie i may have to call in and try one.
Google says its 3 hours from Cow Town that said my GPS tried to put me in the sea when I was going to Wales once, maybe Google thought I was going fishing.

Monte - Maybe you should consider visiting S.Africa on the 24th September.
This link will explain why:

Tony, That braai looks mighty tasty. Not sure what's inside the ring o' meat but I want some.
Smoked sausage, or brats if you prefer, are a menu staple of Texas barbecue so we're not unfamiliar with the SA braai. Just different lingo.
Thinking I need to get the 'cue smoker going... [smiley=beer.gif] Tending the fire is half the fun. Eatin' is the other half. The third half is sippin' cold beer.
