You're 1981 "monolever" has already avoided two big problems with bikes that have sat unattended...

water in the gas tank and water in the transmission  :D

You'll come to appreciate the design of the bike as you get it up to snuff.  Have fun!

::edit:: saw your other post about building an R90... guess you know how these things work.

That's a start...

Knew about a guy in Los Angeles when I lived there who built bikes - antiques - watching for and buying parts till he had everything. Took him years. When I heard about him he was starting on a Henderson - already had the cylinder head. :-)

Considering that, you're almost there.

This is getting pretty funny, kc0yef!

You really do have your work cut out for ya. If I were in your place, I'd buy a second running motorcycle as a parts chaser bike. Something to ride as you gather parts for the next couple years.

Yes, we're all kinda messing with you. Do keep us posted on what you're searching for. Some of us have nice stashes of parts...

Need a little sympathy? Call your mom.  ;)
