One of the guys in my local BMW club has close to a milliion miles on his K75.  But then he is retired and thinks nothing of riding across the country to vist a friend.  Wish I had the time to do that.

He seems like the type of guy you could trust your pride and joy with.

Tom has been my friend and mentor in all things BMW since I met him almost 10 years ago.

I had just bought a K75s and stopped in to have the oil changed and get a general appraisal of the bike. Not only does he NOT have a customers are not allowed in the work area, he encourages it. He looked my new purchase over.

Then he told me to come watch as he changed the oil, telling me what I needed to do it myself. He told me to save my money on things I could do myself and save it for the times I would need his expertise.

I have never met anyone who runs a shop like his and have been a customer ever since. Even when a BMW dealership opened in Jacksonville and offered to order any parts I needed I can call Tom and if he doesn't have the part in stock, it will be there by the time I get there.

He has been a member of the Iron Butt Riders since the 70's and I can guarantee that the miles are all honest miles.

On my days off I rarely go anywhere.  That's the whole point of living in the woods, I guess.  I'm already where I wish to be.
