Anyone ventured out to their local dealer to check this one out yet? Just curious. I think my dealer has one in stock and I thought about taking a look. Very pricey though.

I was in the local dealer about 3 weeks ago, for my final drive output seal and there wasn't one on the showroom floor .
Interesting looking, but I doubt there will be one in my garage !!! ;D

I guess no one is that interested.
I stopped by the dealer the other day. I was a tad miffed that they listed one in their "inventory," but turns out they didn't have one.
They did take my name and number and are supposed to call me when the next one comes in (already sold). No test drive, but might get to throw a leg over.
I'm just curious and want to take a look.
They are asking $15,500 out the door. Ready to take a deposit now.

I really like the look - perhaps wait a few years an pick a low-mileage one up used?

They have one at my local dealer, Capitol BMW. Took a quick look, but didn't look closely. I liked what I saw, though.

The current RnineT evolved from a former "show bike" that BMW referred to as a "low bike". Sorta testing the waters as the cruiser-look in motorcycles took off big time.
The RnineT moniker was a lucky fluke in that this current design was introduced during BMW Motorrad's 90th anniversary.
Sometimes, even a blind hog finds an acorn. ::)

Getting a test ride on a NineT has been impossible here, they are as rare as hens teeth and the two the local dealership managed to get so far sold instantly.
Until today that is, The dealer has a demonstrator in just for the week from BMW. Despite it being a misty drizzly day, that was not stopping me, when I heard a test ride was on offer I was in!
Now don't laugh, but as soon as I sat on it the proportions reminded me instantly of the R65, :-). Well, it is a small bike.
Once you get going though things are a bit different, I felt the gearing was really close, I was in 6th before I knew it and when I glanced down at the speedo I couldn't believe the speed I was doing. This one had the baffles out also so that was probably enticing me more to open the throttle. I had to take a blast through a local under river tunnel to get the full effect.
The whole experience has left me with a big grin on my face and a feeling that I will be changing the exhaust on my R1100 :)
