Well, after two years of riding the LS around, I thought it deserved its first bath. Silver paint is pretty good at hiding dirt. It never looked that dirty to me, but I think the bike lost a pound or two after two days of washing, brushing, clay barring, waxing, and treating the plastic. Brake fluid and fork oil were also changed, and I balanced the horribly off front wheel on the axle.
Now you can see the dent in the tank at a distance thanks to the wax. Wheels and some of the aluminium bits are still "20 footers" and the starter cover just looks plain awful. Maybe I'll paint it when I get some side covers.

Looking good! But, you are right about the wax highlighting any little imperfection...
-
Now if only I can get these damn iPhone photos to sit upright. No way the Boge shocks could handle that incline.
Fixed. It seems I have to rotate the photos full circle and save them to have them come up properly... I'm sure Apple has me pay extra for that

Washing n' waxing only leads to more of the same. Don't be that guy with the shiny garage queen. Go get it dusty...
Work less. Ride more.
OK. It does look really purty. [smiley=beer.gif]

I've had my entire tank painted the same color I forgot how nice it looks with the bottom blacked out. Really makes it look sleeker.
-
For an LS it does look nice, I just can't get past the whole 'buck Rogers from the 70's' look.
Sorry if I have offended anybody, just my personal opinion and taste, each to his/her own...
-
No offence taken. You either love or hate the LS it seems. It's been popular with the gas station attendants this year. As for the folks who chop em up... they're just making mine more valuable ;)
I'll admit the bike looks a little goofy from the front when all you see is the bikini. But from the side I find it's real sleek, and from behind it has a nice compact look and the seat cowl plays nicely with the lines on the tank.

Thanks Luca,
Your right, it does look nice from the rear.
I never like the Katana look either from the front, but the side profile was wonderful.
Funny how people see things differently, good job my missus did... :D

So the real trick to keeping this thing stylish is to stay abreast or ahead of the spectators...
