Title: What is this for?

Hi everyone,i decided to check the ignition unit and apply some heat sink compound as suggested by you guys,job done,but noticed this connector and square opening?i wonder what this is for?thanks,J.

It is meant for extra accesories like hazard lights, electrical vests, handle bar warmers and the like.

Ah!thanks for the info.it's very sunny here too in west wales,with a nice warm breeze,been into town early for brekky with a few friends,then back to do some work around the garded etc,cheers,J.

You may want to put some sort of cover over the exposed connector, the red wire that goes to the connector, is 'hot' all the time, or has power available all the time.

I was wondering about that,and was going to ask the question,thanks,will do that,J.
