It has the appearance of being a BMW, flat twin engine .

With twin mufflers on the right side with heatshields on them .

They left the registration plate on the clip which gives a location in Bristol (stupid) but does not give the bike details...
I thought it may be this one .....

Yes, it is a Triumph scrambler - check out this thread (from last year, apparently during production) for more pics..

The short bit where you can hear the exhaust note - it does sound kinda like the BMW flat twin sound and not like the typical Brit vertical twin - I think because they fit a different crank and use a 270 degree firing interval on the Scrambler, unlike the other Bonnie-inspired twins..

I don't know if you saw Billy Piper after her outing in Dr Who in Secret diary of a call girl.....hot hot  hot. Why she married that numpty DJ is beyond me, may be it was his collection of classic Ferrari's estimated worth 10 million (just the cars) didn't last though.

1) see if my library has it
2) plan on buying a copy anyway

Thanks! :)

Oh! It's a T.V. series!  And yes, my library has all 3 seasons!

Well watched it last night ....... it was er ok, the cgi special effects were disappointing as they had all been done to death in the advertising, I thought John Hurt was good but is he doing the new series ??? David Tennant stole the show though and yes Billy Piper was in it too.....I am sure the fans loved it but the documentary about how it got to air in the first place and the timing of the first show was more intreresting.

Ps the bike looked great.........................expect a surge in sales

Pretty close, but count the gauges on that bike and then count them on the one parked in the tardis.

Good spot.... the one in my picture only shows one gauge( generic image)  but if you look at nhamaf,s link the bike actually used has 2, either its an option or a later model. Looks better with 2 IMHO

I am suspicious that some of the motorcycle scenes were deleted from the show versus what they showed on the trailer where these Triumph RatNet images came from - they may even have had to get another scrambler - I didn't see a big red button on the Scrambler's tank that Clara rode into the Tardis just before the helicopter came to pick it up, but there is a big red button on the fuel tank on the Ratnet forum images...   I think they decided to have Clara ride herself to meet the Doctor, rather than have the doctor ride into town to pick her up..

50th anniversary of Dr Who
One night only in 3D theatres in my town???
And it is TONIGHT!

Sorry, but I already have plans for tonight.  It would have been neat to see it on the big screen, but I guess I will have to settle for the DVD.

I can't believe the ignorance of the 'merikan movie goers/theatre owners.  I tried to get them to show TT3D: Closer To The Edge (2011), but they would have nothing to do with it.  :P

OK - I got the first season of Diary from the library on Monday.

I had a friend from out-of-town stopping by that evening, and after a while I put on the first episode.

We really enjoyed it!  My friend kept saying in amazement "The library has this???

Well, not for much longer, it seems.  Seasons 2 & 3 in their catalog are being deleted!!!  :'(
