Hi Everyone!
I just picked up '83 R65 from a really great guy (who might be a member here) who took excellent care of this beauty and I am proud to be new care taker. I have heard that this is the place best resource on the web for these bikes and I am going to need all the help I can get. I've owned MANY bikes over the years many of which were beemers. But this girl is by far the most...mature. :) She is running a bit rough but I think that may be just us getting acquainted.
I look forward to jumping in and gaining as much as I can from all the info here.

Welcome. Really helpful and friendly people here!

Welcome from northern jersey. Always good to see an owner from the right side of the Delaware and the correct side of the Hudson. :) There aren't a lot of R65's in Jersey, and fewer dealers that know anything about old airheads. As a result, this site can be a real life saver. Enjoy you "new" ride.

Welcome to the forum !!!
Ask any questions you have about the bike, a lot of expertise on this forgotten model of BMW .
By chance, the previous owner of the bike, was his first name Angelo ????

Welcome to the forum, Denise. It's a good one.
Also, some people suggest putting the year and model of your Beemer in your signature or the user info (by your location, gender, etc.). There were a few changes to these bikes over the years so that stuff does matter.
