Title: Hello.
Post by: Hardgravity on March 05, 2013, 12:59:00 AM
Me. Old enough to know better I've been a biker for 37 years, most of it riding a supplied bike for a living. I found the forum when looking for an answer to a problem and decided to join.

Bike. She's a 1983 R65LS, I've had her from new and most of that time she's sat doing not a lot. Now my job's changed it's time for her to spend a bit more time on the road.

When I've time I'll post a picture or two of her.

Welcome.

We have a couple of members from your neck of the woods.  A little bit far Nor for me though!

A bike from new!   You wont ever be able to blame the PO (Previous Owner)for anything!

Looks forward to seeing it.

It's our porous borders. Not to worry as Mr. Obabma wants to make citizens all our illegals. [smiley=thumbdown.gif]

Hi Lou, I hail from the wonderful(?) city of Bradford, home to the best curries in the UK and, dare I say it Alan Jeffries BMW dealers.

I don't go there for spares though, I don't have that much cash! ;D

Thanks, that what I was hoping. As for Motorworks, they supplied the 'expensive'(according to a 'local' store) float bowl gaskets for last years MOT.

Motorworks are not that deer, i buy all my parts there including carb kits and they were £26 ish for the whole kit, i think the gasket set is about £4.

Allan Jefferies aint somewhere i'd go for parts but if you speak to Paul(i think) in service he's a very indepth knowledge of these bikes.

I'm in Leeds, if your over this way pop in for a brew

Thanks for the offer Elliot.

Good news on the MOT front, the old girl passed no problem, now all I need is the road tax...
