Title: Hello!
Post by: zoomungus on December 04, 2012, 06:37:29 PM
I'm thinking of buying an R65 so I have joined your forum  :) I rode
motorcycles from 16 to age 30, I was a courier in London for 3 years back in the 80's, it was the most fun Ive ever had, getting paid for riding a bike everyday, sweet! I rode mostly Honda and kawasaki shafties but I did have an 800 beemer for awhile. I stopped riding after getting a yamaha RD350 F2, that bike got me in so much trouble and I was always falling off it lol

Anyway I live in Arizona now and a low mileage R65 has caught my eye..........

If it caught your eye, maybe you want to take a step back:)

Are you an expat Brit or were you an expat Yank?

How do you find Arizona?

@Bob, I'm in sunny Goodyear and alas the bike I was looking at may have been sold but I wont know until friday. Its a low mileage 82 R65 and the asking price is $3000 and it needs a spline lube.............

Insanity, I will fit right in!  :)

@Steve, I'm a Brit expat from London. I have one Arizona summer under my belt and not missing the UK weather at all, its good to wake up to sunshine every day!

Welcome to the herd, Zoomungus.

If you miss the '82, keep looking. Southwestern bikes are usually in great condition, cosmetically, due to weather factors.

Their riders are another story.

OK, Ed, I'll admit I did think of Phoenix Bob Roller but decided to be nice for once. [smiley=whistling.gif]
