I'm not leaving cause your a good bunch of knuckleheads..
I'll hang around and maybe get another in a year or two ... You never know..

This is one of those "good news-bad news" kinda posts. Don't be a stranger, John.

pics of the RR??
Is it a classic, P38 etc??
I always wanted to build the ultimate P38 off roader, as no-one had done a rough going Range Rover, but then in the next month Land Rover mag guess what was on the cover!!
Was never bothered after that.

I wish it was a P38. Just a Disco 1
Engine seems good.. Just needs a complete suspension overhaul..
Has the death wobble.. But it's getting better every time I put some more new parts on it....LOL ! I've done all the tie rod ends and have a bushing kit on the way.. I've got to do that ball joint in the rear and all the sway bar end links and then I think It'll be back to good...
Maybe another half a grand..
It has some really cool 235/85/16's on it.. Giant tires..
Body is very good.. That's really why I got it...

V8. I'm trying to address all the power steering leaks at this time and will likely be replacing the PS box...I haven't had it out on the streets much since getting it home...
I've got four boxes of parts here waiting to be installed...
Waiting on the rear ball joint then I'm going in again..
Full bushing kit.. Sway bar end links and the ball joint on the back..
Basically the suspension will be new then...If it's still loose then I 'll replace the steering box too.. I'm not giving up !

before you replace the box, fit a decent steering damper.
Actually, I can't quite remember if Discos have steering Dampers like the defenders but it would be my first try on sloppy steering.

I have a new damper to put on it...But the poor box is just leaking like a sieve...I cleaned it off and haven't run it at all and got under there yesterday to do the panhard rod and the whole thing was dripping with atf again...
Ordered a replacement today...And all new hoses..

So Today, I don't know why.. I decided to give Craigslist a quick look..
Lo and Behold. An 80 R65 LS ( Fairing ? ) ....
Pretty red one. Dual rotors up front...
Hmmmm......

My view with the old Land Rovers is 'once an old item's replaced you don't have to worry about it for a whole 6 months!"
Worth slowly giving yourself piece of mind.
+ IF you go for the bike tto, you can jump on it to get some parts for the disco when it breaks........makes sense to me!!

Not going to buy any more bikes as of yet.. Need to get rid of one more probably....
