Title: Motorworks?
Post by: Julio A. on June 22, 2012, 01:05:17 AM
Anybody here had any experience buying parts online from motorworks?
They sell those parts really cheap even with all that shipping to the Philippines.

I regularly buy either over the phone or call in to collect as they are only a few miles away, they are are a well established company with a good reputation and the staff are certainly more helpfull than those of Motobins, i dont think you will have any problems as they will ship parts anywhere and have customers all over the world.

G'day Julio,

I have dealt with both Motorworks and Motobins.  They are both as good as each other.  Motorworks have both new and used parts catalogues for downloading.  I have spoken to them on the phone and they get the Burt thumbs up tick of approval.  Prices vary slightly between both of them but nothing to worry about.   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Cheers, Burt.

I still don't understand why Motorworks will not ship to the USA.

Anyone know why not?

I also think that's odd.

Obviously they're holding a grudge over that little dustup back in the 70s.

1770s, that is.

Kinda my thinking, too, Matt. Then there's that whole 1812 issue.

Lou could ask them next time he pops in.

Could be legal issues with doing business in the US, them not wanting to expose themselves to any litigation if something goes wrong with their parts and causes an 'incident', in a country where law suits are a way of life here .
