It is advertised in IBMWR ads, the seller is in Utah. It is a '79 engine and gearbox and very reasonable prices.
I hope anyone reading this will know I am interested in order to get my bike back on the road.
Thank you.

I scored the kit, so I will be rebuilding my bike one more time...
'79 engine, gearbox and carbs for $450! 35,000 miles on the bike when he had a main harness "smoke" (no fire).
Apparently he is not a hard core BMW rider, because he chose to part it out rather than fix it!
My gain!

You might be able to recoup some of your "new" engine cost by parting out your original engine. I'm amazed at what shows up and actually sells on eBay.

sells on eBay.

edit - Oh - you mean selling off what I have in parts.
I am not that interested in the hassle of selling on eBay just to make them and Paypal richer.
The trips to the post office are not worth it. I'll probably just disassemble my two(!) engine carcasses and what I cannot easily give away I will take to the recycler. Especially the crankcases. I might get $10 for the both!
But, no, I am not going to be one of these guys selling cylinder studs...

Sue, I am hoping to make it to Willville later this year, or any place that has a cabin!
I am done motorcycle camping!
I haven't been to Willville, yet!
