The long awaited release of the Isle of Man film a word of warning though dont let wives or girl friends see it, the trailer contains some graphic scenes of crashes which may result in them banning you from your bike.
The film critics seem to love it ??

Film critics!!! one loves it the other hates it, i read there 'review' of a movie but never there personal view of a film. Everybody is a film critic, but these clowns get paid to tell me what they dont like.
Mate looks like a great film, cant wait to see it.

I'd love to go back to the Isle Of Man for the TT races....went there as a kid with my dad to watch the races...That was about 56 years ago. I thinks it's time to go again.

If you did you will find most of it has not changed much exept the prices.

I just received an email from our local arts theatre - they said they do not plan on screening this one.
I wrote back to tell them how disappointed I was (same theatre where I saw World's Fastest Indiana twice) and asked if there was anything I could do to change their minds.
If you live near any of their locations you might consider writing to them. Get a campaign going!

I have't checked my local theatre yet, but i'll bet they dont screen it.
I told the old man about the movie coming out (thanks Lou) & he's very keen to see it on the big screen.
-
Like Rob i sent off a few emails to the two largest theatre chains in Aust to see if they were planning to screen this film, but NO they are not. Might have to try the smaller ones (theatre's) but iam not holding my breath there either.

Rumour has it all Americans have 3D TV now so if you sit close to the screen it will be like being there.

Buying it on DVD was always going to happen BUT i want to see this on the BIG screen with full surround sound. Iam just really pi... off that a film like this which dont come around every yr or every decade (on the big screen) just gets ignored by the major theatre chains.
sorry end of rant.
-
The rant is fine with me - because I agree with it so.
I don't think I've ever been to a 3-D movie, except for the Star Trek experience (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Experience) in Vegas.
I really want to see the bikes coming off the screen at me!
-
I saw Avatar in 3D. I think I could sit and watch those jelly fish things (tree seeds in the movie) drift by me for a really long time.
-
Finally saw this last night... gripping stuff, you may need sub titles if you dont speak Northern English or Irish the end of the last race and the still pictures are incredible... i wont spoil it.
Best quote in the film from an American spectator... all you want in life is one good lap............

One of my boys gave me the 2D version on DVD for Christmas and I haven't got around to watching it yet. Must do soon though I'm not sure it's been the right time to be inspired to heroics on wet winter roads.
In the days when the RAC rally was held in Wales and the North west I would go to spectate on the special stages. The driving skills on display were so inspiring it was quite common to see spectators cars wrapped around a tree on the way home.
